Banksy fake in gardens

There was a flurry of excitement this week as what seemed to be a new painting by the street artist Banksy appeared in Bournemouth Gardens.

The monchrome image of a  zebra merging into a barcode clearly referenced  his Leopard and Barcode which was auctioned  few years ago for £75,650. What's more the secretive graffiti artiste is known to be active at the moment. He created a Jubilee image of the Queen as Ziggy Stardust on a wall in Bristol just a few weeks ago.

But anyone thinking about taking a chisel to the Bournemouth zebra is likely to be disappointed. Experts quickly dismissed the work as  a fake.
